As many of you are aware, Pikes Peak Regional Building Department has been very active reviewing and approving major commercial code changes over the last year.  Additional changes are still in process of being reviewed and we expect more updates in the near future.  Join us as we host several representatives from Pikes Peak Regional Building Department to review what has changed, what is still in process of review and how it affects our industry.   This is a great opportunity to hear information directly from the source and get your questions answered.

Our speakers include Dean Wemmer, Chief Electrical Inspector for Pikes Peak Regional Building Department.  Mr. Wemmer has been with the department more than 16 years.  Prior to working at PPRBD, Dean worked as an electrician for private contractors in El Paso County and Indiana for more than 20 years.  Shelby Erickson, the Senior Plan Reviewer for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) for PPRBD.  Mr. Erickson has been with PPRBD for about 16 years.  He coordinates plan review policy and practice with the Inspection department and design professionals.  Prior to PPRBD, Shelby worked as an Electrician and Electrical Contractor in El Paso County.  Joel Segura, Chief Plumbing Inspector.  Mr. Segura started with RBD back in 2004 as a plumbing inspector and climbed the ranks of the plumbing division to Senior Plumbing Inspector and now Chief Plumbing Inspector.  Greg Dingrando, Public Information Officer for the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department.   Mr. Dingrando has been with PPRBD for about 2.5 years.   He is the point of contact for all media inquiries, runs the department’s social media pages, puts together educational videos, helps with marketing, and organizes classes, presentations, and tours of the department.   Prior to PPRBD, Greg worked in the El Paso County PIO office and spent 12 years as a TV anchor/reporter.

This is our first in-person chapter meeting in quite some time and we are very excited to have everyone back in the same room.  We look forward to some networking and education - the foundation of our Pikes Peak Chapter and CSI.   Please RSVP and plan to bring a guest.  Anyone you know in our industry that deals directly with plumbing and electrical code will find this presentation informative and helpful.

NOTE:  PLEASE NOTE that this Chapter meeting is in a new location and on a different day of the week than we've done in the past.  We are actively searching for a new venue and welcome feedback or suggestions from the community.   Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact any board member or respond to this email.
