VIRTUAL ONLINE STUDY GROUP - WEEK 1

Daryl Robinson, FCSI, CDT®, CCS, (Crandic & Pikes Peak Chapters/Certification Chair of North Central & Southwest Regions) and Michael Young, FCSI, CDT®, CCS, CCCA, (Denver & CSINext Chapters/Certification Chair of Denver Chapter) cordially invite you to participate in an upcoming series of online presentations.  It is our belief that every CSI member should have the CDT® certification suffix after their name.

Therefore, please plan on participating in our upcoming Online CDT® Study Group, which will begin on February 9, 2021.  The diversity of CSI members makes for a wide range of perspectives and experiences, which can be shared between the members attending the Study Group.  In fact, we are in the process of assembling a group of “professors” who will lead various portions of the Study Group discussions as subject matter experts.  The Study Group is offered for free to CSI members and for only $100 to non-members (10 weeks)Non-members: please note that the $100 is a one time charge.

CDT® STUDY GROUP overview:

A minimum of 10 virtual online sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings starting on February 9, 2021.  The sessions will begin at 6:30 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, and will last between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on subject matter and duration of any group discussions.

We recommend that participants purchase the Project Delivery Practice Guide (PDPG) 3rd Edition, which makes up the majority of the CDT® Exam source material.  The PDPG will continue to serve you as a valuable resource throughout your career.

HERE ARE A FEW OF THE BENEFITS OF CDT®:

The CDT® Certification will put you in an elite group of industry professionals whose expertise is recognized by an industry leader.  No matter what you do in construction, the CDT® is the program for you!  Putting CSI credentials after your name is the industry’s proof that you are among the industry’s best and shows that you have made a personal commitment to your profession.

CDT® can help you manage the complexities of a LEED project.  Site development, water efficiency, energy use, building materials, interior building systems, construction wastes and increased recycling - you have to manage it all when you are building to achieve LEED certification.

CDT® can help polish your resume.  It is harder and harder to stand out in the employment market right now.  CDT® can help pull your resume to the top of the heap.

CDT® will get you into CSI’s Certificants Directory, which helps the public find the right professional for the job - one who has demonstrated construction documentation skill by earning a CDT®, CCS, CCCA, or CCPR certification.

Once you are "CSI Certified," you will have demonstrated attainment of best practices knowledge from the industry leader in construction documentation, specification preparation, product representation, and contract administration.
