CSI Members and Guests, please join us for a short construction tour of the new Helen Hunt Family Housing. 

We are excited to see the renovation and transformation of this lovely older building into 24 new housing units that will serve families on the edge of homelessness, couchsurfing, living in their cards, in a shelter or on the street.  TDG Architecture has been working on the design, with Immediate Past Pikes Peak Chapter CSI President Lacey Wells attending weekly OAC meetings, we've been hearing wonderful stories about this project and want to share it with our members and guests. 

Catholic Charities purchased the Hunt Campus from the Legacy Institute in December 2022. Construction is underway to convert the two-story schoolhouse to 24 units of family housing.  With Catholic Charities Family Connections already located on the campus, families will receive vital case management and wraparound services, with additional co-located family-focused resources including CPCD Head Start and Peak Parent. 

The vision for the Hunt Family Housing project is to strengthen community and family stability by increasing the inventory of transitional housing units available for low-income and vulnerable families.  Achieving safe, stable housing allows families to concentrate on other stabilizing factors such as employment, health, savings, and raising thriving families.

We will limit attendance to 25, with CSI Members having priority.  RSVP's are critical for this event.  Please bring your own PPE if you have it.  There is parking available in a small lot to the south of the building.  If that parking lot is full, there should be plenty of street parking.
